Lummis Days, the Festival of Northeast Los Angeles, now in its 17th year, is partnering with 626 Golden Streets to present a day of Live Music, Poetry, Food, and “A Car-Free Arroyo Parkway,” event, open only to pedestrians, bicycles, wheelchairs, scooters and e-bikes.

The 110 Freeway walk/ride will run from 7:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. The Lummis Day event will begin with poetry at “El Alisal, Lummis Home,” the original home of namesake Charles Lummis, scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. with Music, at 11 a.m. Poetry & Readings begin.

The Sycamore Grove event will kick off at 10 a.m. with a morning and afternoon of live music, Dance, Community Resources, Cultural Exhibitions and Food Trucks from 11am until 3:30pm

626 Golden Streets will begin in South Pasadena at 6:30 a.m. with a ceremony opening the Arroyo Seco Parkway (110 Freeway) at Mission Street and Orange Grove featuring a live DJ, chalk art, and a 10K Race.

The Golden Streets event will end at Lacy Park on Avenue 26 with a Live DJ, Food Trucks and Exhibitor Booths.

The newly renamed LA Metro A Line , which runs through Northeast LA and the San Gabriel Valley, line has five stops along ArroyoFest, to conveniently return participants to their cars or homes.

Lummis Day, The Festival of Northeast Los Angeles, is a celebration of the art, music, poetry and cultures of Northeast Los Angeles, and was created by Eliot & Jain Sekuler in 2006.

Lummis Days celebrates the arts, history and ethnic diversity of Northeast Los Angeles through educational and cultural events and an annual festival that draws the community together for a shared experience while providing a platform for cooperation among people of all ages and backgrounds.
